This major exhibition focuses on the Textile Industries in the Vale of Leven, Duntocher, Milton and Hardgate. In their heyday these local industries were world renowned. The exhibition includes historical resources from Local Studies and the Museum Collection illustrating topics such as Singers, Turkey Red, Social History of the Workforce, Textiles and Design. The international impact of these industries will be reflected through the use of photographs, archives , reconstructions and a series of interpretation panels telling the story of textiles in West Dunbartonshire.
