Planning Committee

   

The Planning Committee generally meets on the first Tuesday of each month and meetings are held in public, either in the Council Chambers, Clydebank Town Hall or the Council Chambers, Municipal Buildings Station Road, Dumbarton.

 

Applications which are considered by Planning Committee are determined by the Council’s scheme of delegation approved on 4th August 2009.

 

In summary, applications which tend to be determined by the Planning Committee

 

·         where approval would be contrary to a substantial body of objection;

·         those subject to an objection from a Community Council or statutory consultee;

·         where they conflict with the policies of the local plan

·         applications where the Council has an interest in an application (financial or ownership interest)

 

All objectors, supporters and the applicant have the opportunity to be heard by the Planning Committee through the Council’s approved hearing procedure.
