West Dunbartonshire Draft Core Paths Plan Public Consultation

One of the duties placed on Local Authorities under the terms of the Land Reform (Scotland) Act 2003 is the preparation of a Core Paths Plan. This plan will provide a system of paths in an area which will give the public reasonable access throughout the area. Although the Act provides a right of responsible access to the countryside, both on and off paths, it is recognised that most people like to use paths.

The final round of Public Consultation took place between the 23rd June and 15th September 2008.  Copies of the Representatons and Formal Objections can be found below, copies can also be viewed at the Council Offices at Garshake Road, Dumbarton and Rosebery Place, Clydebank during normal business hours.

Copies of the Draft Core Paths Plan Report and accompanying maps can be viewed below, however, they are shown for information only until the Plan is adopted by West Dunbartonshire Council as shown or amended.

A list of the proposed core paths is provided with general data on their condition, surface

gradient, length etc to view select Tables.
