Environmental Health Services use the provisions of the Environmental Protection Act 1990 to investigate and take action to resolve public health nuisances including:

  • odours
  • noise
  • drainage problems
  • insanitary premises
  • smoke and fumes etc.

Officers investigate complaints and enquiries to establish if the source of the complaint is causing a Statutory Nuisance. The officers have legal powers to prevent the nuisance occurring or continuing if the matter cannot be resolved informally.

Report an Environmental Health issue.
