The Community Participation Committee (CPC)

One of the main structures for involving the community in Council decision-making is the Community Participation Committee.

In brief, it will have up to 17 representatives from a broad range of widely representative community groups. Its role will be to raise community issues with the Council, influence decision-making and help shape the policies which affect our communities.

We are aiming for a pro-active agenda that encourages dialogue on issues of importance to our local communities.  For more information about the role of the committee click here CPC Information.

It will meet 5 times a year with the option of special meetings if necessary.
