Community Care Groupings
Support groups exist for a whole range of community care groupings which promote the interest of a wide range of people including :
those experiencing physical disability
learning disability
sensory impairment
mental health issues
brain injury
addiction issues
dementia
being a carer or parent carer of a child with disability
These groups work on a democratic and entirely voluntary basis and can act independently of Council and other statutory agencies.
Or perhaps there isn't a group for your particular issue and mabye you would like to help set one up.
There are a range of helpful agencies and you might like to start by contacting the
Community Work Unit
on 01389 737621.
