Tenants and Residents Groups

Currently there are around 20 tenants and residents groups throughout West Dunbartonshire.  Local tenants and residents groups are made up of local tenants.  They are democratically elected organisations that work to bring about improvements in their areas.  Tenants and residents groups have opportunities to be involved in developing services in the following ways:
  • responding to consultations
  • by attending consultation meetings and events
  • by providing feedback to Council staff
Tenants and residents groups play a vital part in making sure our services reflect the needs of local communities.
Tenants and Residents Federations
The Dumbarton and Vale of Leven Housing Federation represent and support tenants and residents groups in the Dumbarton and Vale of Leven areas.  The Association of Clydebank Residents Groups represents and supports tenants groups throughout Clydebank.
The West Dunbartonshire Tenants and Residents Organisation (WDTRO) is the umbrella organisation which acts to co-ordinate the activities of both the Associaton of Clydebank Residents Groups (ACRG) and the Dumbarton and Vale of Leven Housing Federation (DVOLHF).  Launched in October 2008, it's main aim is to make sure that the federations work together to improve housing services and standards.  The group is made up of members from the Association of Clydebank Residents Groups and the Dumbarton and Vale of Leven Housing Federation.
