The Meadow Centre

 

Facilities include: leisure pool, sports hall, fitness suite and viewing area with café.

 

One Leisure pool with beach access.  Disabled changing room, with height adjustable changing bed and Oxford Midi Hoist and slings.  Three different shower chairs to gain access to the pool area, depending on degree of disability.  Separate private shower room, communal showers.

The Vale of Leven Pool

 

Facilities include: a 25 metre tank pool with hoist, sauna and steam room.

 

1 traditional pool with Arjo, winch access using seat. Need to advise staff at reception in advance if you require this service. Disabled changing room with Oxford Midi Hoist and straps. Adjustable bed and communal showers.

The Play Drome

 

Facilities include: leisure pool, sports hall, fitness suite and viewing area with café.

 

Two pools, one with beach access.  Activity pool needs to be booked as generally only open after school and at weekends.  When booked, is attended by a life guard. Depending on competency waves can be switched on or off.

1 traditional pool with Arjo winch access using seat. Need to advise staff at reception that you wish to use this and they will put it in place.

 

Disabled changing room at pool side, adjustable height changing bed, Oxford Midi hoist. There is advice about this room available to make use of the layout. There are 2 different shower chairs to gain access to the pool area—depending on degree of disability. Communal showers. Disabled clients regularly use the facilities.

Sport and Recreation Service      

 

Sport and Recreation provision is available within Glasgow’s leisure centres: activities include swimming, basketball, football and boccia. These are open to people from West Dunbartonshire.
