The UK parliamentary General Election will be held on Thursday 6 May 2010. It is a myth that you must have a fixed address in order to be able to register to vote. People with no fixed address can register using a ‘Declaration of Local Connection’.
Since 2000, three groups of people can register to vote using a Declaration of Local Connection - homeless people, mental health patients and prisoners on remand. Declaration of Local Connection forms are available from your area electoral office at the address below.
