Celtic Spirit will also play the Balloch event, and will be joined by fabulous Scottish duo Mark Neal and Eilidh Steel, and highly talented local piper Kyle Warren, who is a finalist in BBC Radio Scotland’s Young Traditional Musician of the Year 2010. Alexandria schoolgirl Rachael Skelding, who made it through to the UK finals of the Open Mic talent contest, will also take to the stage.
There will also be children’s entertainment, a funfair and food stalls to keep all the family happy. Your Radio will also be keeping everyone entertained throughout the day.
Provost Denis Agnew said: "These are fantastic free family and community events and I hope people from all over West Dunbartonshire will come out and enjoy themselves. Hogmanay in Scotland is a great festive time, steeped in many customs and traditions,so why not start the fun early and come to one of these afternoon events? They are guaranteed to get you in the mood for the Bells! There’s no need to get a ticket, just come along on the day."
