Councillor Jim McElhill, the Council’s spokesperson for Environmental Services and Economic Development, said: “So far the Midnight League has exceeded expectations, with young people coming from all over the West Dunbartonshire area. We expect that the six week programme will highlight the need for this type of activity within West Dunbartonshire and provide the evidence of need for similar programmes in the future.”
Free buses to and from the venue are provided for young people on registration, with consent forms available through schools. Free water and fruit have also been provided to players by Knowes Housing Association.
