Community Planning

The aim of West Dunbartonshire Community Planning Partnership is to work in partnership to improve the economic, social, cultural and environmental well being for all who live, work, visit and do business in the area.

Community Planning or working in partnership is in recognition that improving health and well being, regenerating our local economy, delivering education and learning opportunities, creating safe and strong communities and developing good quality affordable housing and sustainable, attractive environments cannot be achieved by people and organisations working in isolation hence the development of West Dunbartonshire Community Planning Partnership.

Just as importantly as organisations working in partnership is the involvement of local people and communities. The Community Planning Partnership framework ensures local people are able to influence the Community Planning Partnerships decision making and this is vital to success of the Community Planning.

Therefore West Dunbartonshire Community Planning Partnership is a partnership of agencies and groups from the public and voluntary and community sector that have an interest in West Dunbartonshire and who can make a positive contribution to its growth and development.

The Community Planning Partnership structures consist of the following: an Executive Group, a Strategic Board and thematic groups.  This is currently under review.

Visit the West Dunbartonshire Community Planning Partnership website for more information.
