The Scottish Community Development Centre has been assisting West Dunbartonshire Council by running a series of informal discussion events in various venues across Clydebank, Dumbarton and the Vale to help residents become more involved in their communities.

We’d like to hear your views on the draft strategy by completing our online survey below.

Complete the survey

Closing date for the survey is Friday 13th September.

The draft Community Empowerment Strategy and Action Plan is available to download from the Scottish Community Development Centre's website.

We’re also hosting three final consultation events along with an online survey to get your views and the views of the wider community about what’s in the draft strategy/action plan.

The events will take place:

  • Monday 26th August - Alexandria Community Centre - Main Street, Alexandria G83 0NU
  • Thursday 29th August - Concord Community Centre – Town Centre, Dumbarton G82 1LJ
  • Tuesday 3rd September - Clydebank Town Hall -  5 Hall Street, Clydebank G81 1UB

Each event will start at 6:00pm with refreshments and a chance to talk informally to other local people before a presentation on what people told us and discussion about the way forward between 6.30pm and 8.30pm.

To help more people to take part in these events, help with transport and interpreting services is available if you need it. If you would like more information about the events or need transport or require other support, please contact Sarah Jane by email at sarahjane@scdc.org.uk.

If you require child care support on the night of the event please contact Sarah Jane at the above email address as soon as possible.  Number of children and ages is required.
