Temporary Traffic Management Order 2018
West Dunbartonshire Council, in exercise of the powers conferred on them by Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended and of all other enabling powers, have made the above named Order.
The Order will make it unlawful for any person to drive or cause or permit to be driven any motor vehicle (with the exception of emergency service vehicles, vehicles engaged on authorised works and vehicles permitted by signs or by the authorised works contractor) on Castlegreen Street between Eastfield Crescent and Bruce Street, Dumbarton.
The Order will come into operation at 0001 hours 5 March 2018 and will remain in operation to 2359 hours on 8 April 2018 but only when indicated by signs.
This restriction is to provide suitable traffic management and a safe working environment for Network Rail and their appointed contractors to refurbish a rail bridge.
Restrictions will be kept to an absolute minimum, being applied if and as necessary. It is anticipated that restrictions will only apply to the end of March 2018.
Due to other conflicting works, adjoining low bridges and the localised nature of the works, diversion routes will not be signed. Instead contact details will be provided on site for directions should they be required. Traffic being diverted is likely to use Castlegreen Street, Victoria Street, Bruce Street, Eastfield Crescent, A814 Glasgow Road and, additionally for full or over-height vehicles, Greenhead Road, A82(T) Stirling Road / Alexandria By-pass, A812 Renton Road and A814 Cardross Road. Access to the industrial area on Castlegreen Street, Castlegreen Gardens and Buchannan Street will all be maintained from the Victoria Street side of the closure.
