Training from Active Schools
Active Schools staff have been trainined as clubgolf tutors and have written a three year development programme for clubgolf. This programme schedules training that will be offered to teachers in schools, allowing golf to be delivered to P4-7 pupils as part of their curricular PE.
firstclubgolf in your local schools
The aim, as set out in the national clubgolf strategy, is for Primary 5 children to receive an introduction to the game of firstclubgolf, either as part of curricular classes or at various roadshows, evernts and after school clubs throughout the authority.
The clubgolf programme
The intention of clubgolf is to offer pathways for continued participation to children who have been introduced to the game of golf. The links with local clubs and facilities allow children to continue their interest in the game through structured junior coaching and clubgolf stage 1, 2 and 3 programmes.
