The Choices programme's logo

The Choices Programme is an alternative Secondary school provision for pupils at S3 and S4 level who have experienced difficulties in mainstream schools.

It serves the whole of the West Dunbartonshire area and is a joint initiative between Educational Services and Social Work.

The Choices Programme is a registered centre and offers SQA courses in English, Maths, PSE & IT. The short courses available include Music, Drama and Media Studies.

Further Education links

The Programme has established links with Anniesland & Clydebank College. This has enhanced opportunities for pupils.

Construction, ICT, Media Studies & Art are just some of the areas Choices links into through its connection to the colleges.

Admissions

Applications to the Choices Programme are made using an agreed standardised form. This is completed by the referring school in conjuction with the school's educational psychologist.

Referrals are made twice yearly in November and May. The completed papers are sent to the Choices Programme and a copy is sent to the Programme's liaison psychologist.

Dates of submissions are given to the school by the school's psychologist.
