Following on from the delivery of 'firstclubgolf' in primary schools, Golf clubs and facilities are encouraged to become involved in the delivery of 'Stage 1 clubgolf' via qualified volunteers e.g. club members. Volunteers who wish to get involved with clubgolf junior golf coaching at their golf club or facility can become trained and licensed through the Professional
Golfers Association (PGA) by attending and passing the PGA Level 1 training course.
Coach Education
The PGA Level 1 course itself is delivered by PGA Tutors normally over two consecutive days. The two days will be a combination of tutor-led sessions combined with practical delivery of mini-coaching sessions to fellow course students, during which students will undergo continuous assessment. Applicants to the PGA Level 1 courses receive a Home Study Pack from the PGA to prepare them for the weekend course.
