The Bellsmyre Youth Action Group member recently (July 10th 2010) took part in an intergenerational art project in Dalreoch House Residential Care Home. The residents had highlighted that the view they had from one of the living rooms was dark and gloomy.
The Youth Action Group were contacted and asked to create a mural design with flowers for the area. They worked alongside young people from Bellsmyre Community Youth Group & SPARC Community arts to complete the mural. It now hangs outside, brightening up the area and residents are delighted with the end product. This project also contributed to the Bellsmyre Youth Action Group's Dynamic Youth Awards.
