If you are a home owner and you are at risk of having your home repossessed, the Mortgage to Rent Scheme may be able to help you stay in your home. Under the scheme, which is run by the Scottish Government, your property would be bought by a housing association and you would be able to stay on as a social tenant.
Mortgage to Rent will not be right for everyone. To find out if Mortgage to Rent is best for you, you must speak to an advice agency for money, legal or housing advice. In fact, Scottish Government insists that all applicants have had financial advice before applying.
