Consultation Calendar 2011

The aim of this calendar is to inform our tenants, tenants’ organisations and other community groups about consultation events which will take place during 2011.

The calendar provides information about specific consultation events which will occur at set times within the year and provides information about surveys or questionnaires which the Council uses in order to obtain feedback about our services. We will update the calendar regularly.

February 2011

Sold Property and Factoring Service Survey.  1000 questionnaires will be issued.

This is a random survey targeted at owners to find out about their perception of the sold property and factoring service provided by us.  Owners might contact the sold property and factoring service about insurance, repairs or to make a payment. (When talking about ‘owners’ we mean those who own a property previously owned by West Dunbartonshire Council).

March 2011

Tenants’ Satisfaction Survey on the Repairs Service.

A repairs service survey is carried out by a research company which is independent of the Council.  It is a telephone survey of around 1000 randomly selected customers.

September 2011

Annual rent consultation

Annual consultation with tenants on their rents for the following financial year starts each year in September.

Surveys and questionnaires which are carried out across the calendar year

Allocations

New tenants signing their tenancy agreement are asked to take part in a survey about their experience of the allocations process.  For example, about the information and advice provided by us whilst the tenant was on the waiting list.    New tenants are also invited to take part in a telephone survey 3 weeks after moving in.  This survey focuses on the standard of accommodation and encourages tenants to tell us what would have helped them when moving in.  These are analysed on a quarterly basis.

Area Office Satisfaction

Visitors to any of our area housing offices are encouraged to complete questionnaire cards.  Questions such as how easy it was to find the office, how long you had to wait to be seen, if you were treated fairly and with sensitivity help provide us with information about how satisfied you are with access to the office and the service you received.

Right to Buy

Tenants who buy their Council house are sent a questionnaire once they become owners.  The aim of the questionnaire is to find out about owners’ views of the ‘Right to Buy’ process.

Estate Management

This survey is targeted at tenants who have raised a query with the estate management service.  Tenants are selected randomly and asked about how their query was dealt with, for example did you get the information you needed, and were you dealt with politely.

Estate Action Plans

Tenants and residents are being invited through their Associations and Community Council’s to become involved in developing Estate Action Plans for their area.  This is an opportunity to identify what you think are the social and environmental issues within your community.  Action Plans are being developed for every estate in West Dunbartonshire and will be reviewed on a regular basis.

Antisocial investigation and support team

Questionnaires are issued to all those who have raised a complaint once their case has been closed by the antisocial investigation and support team.  The aim of the questionnaire is to find out how you felt your complaint was dealt with.
