Interested Tenants Register

Would you like to receive information or get involved in influencing decisions about your home and neighbourhood, the housing service you receive from us or our housing policies?

We appreciate that some of our tenants have other commitments and have tried to provide a range of ways for tenants to tell us what they think.

Our Interested Tenants Register is a list of tenants who have provided us with their contact details and told us about which areas of the housing service that they are interested in.

For example:

  • Neighbourhood Agreements

  • Antisocial behaviour services

  • Capital works (kitchens, bathrooms, roofing)

  • How we allocate our houses and a common housing register

  • How we manage our estates (close cleaning, garden maintenance, bin management , environmental checks)

  • Caretaking

  • Scrutinising our services (tenant-led inspections and mystery shoppers)

  • Homelessness

  • Social Housing Charter (outcomes and standards for our customers)

  • Local Housing Strategy (the planned direction for housing (not just Council housing) the main challenges and how the Council and its partners intend to address them)

  • Annual rent setting

  • Repairs and Maintenance

  • Tenant Participation

  • Stock transfer (proposals to transfer our stock to another landlord)

What's in it for you?

'Housing services which meet our tenants needs'.

Tenant participation should lead to better services for all tenants, it should strengthen your community and ensure that we are accountable to you.  You can also make new friends and learn new skills.

What's in it for us?

'We want to provide our tenants with a high quality housing service and listening to your views helps us to achieve that’.

You are the expert about living in your area, as a tenant your in a great position to tell us about the service you receive.  By listening to our tenants we can understand the problems tenants receive, get valuable information about what our tenants want, work with our tenants to improve neighbourhoods and focus on areas that need it.

Join our Interested Tenants Register and we will send you information or contact you when we are disscussing the area of housing service that you have expressed an interest in.

Even if we contact you, you can still choose whether or not to get involved.

You can join the register by contacting your housing officer or Tenant Participation Assistant (01389 737 702 or graham.watters@west-dunbarton.gov.uk).  Or you can complete the registration form below and return it to us.
