In September 2010 the Council commissioned an independent research company to undertake its tenant satisfaction survey. The Council was looking for a comprehensive survey which would collect and report on tenant satisfaction levels on housing management services. The results will be used to act as a baseline to gauge future performance in all aspects of the housing service. The intention is to carry out the survey bi-annually which would allow the Council and its tenants to compare over time tenant satisfaction levels.
To ensure that all tenants had an opportunity to take part a postal survey was selected as the preferred option. The survey mailing was sent to 10,330 tenants and was topped up with 100 questionnaire interviews carried out by telephone.
