How are Panel Members selected?
- Panel Members are selected by a special body called the Children's Panel Advisory Committee (CPAC).
- The CPAC will look at your application then contact you to let you know if you have been selected for interview or not.
- At the interview Members of the CPAC will talk with you and after hearing your views and checking your availability, the Committee will decide whether or not you will make a good panel member.
- The CPAC will then let you know of their decision.
- The CPAC will then make their recommendation to the First Minister.
- The First Minister then appoints Panel Members for a certain period of time, initially three years.
