On 16 January 2007 West Dunbartonshire Licensing Board approved a combined Equality Scheme covering the duties imposed by Race Relations, Disability Discrimination and Gender Equality legislation. An associated Action Plan was also approved.

A review of the Equality Scheme was carried out during 2008 and the Annual Equality Report for 2008 incorporating the Review of the Race Equality Scheme was approved by the Licensing Board on 26 November 2008.
