Parking fines are issued by either a Police Officer from Strathclyde Police or a Traffic Warden.
Parking fines are £30.00 (unless issued under Section 33 of the Vehicle Excise & Registration Act 1994 these are for £60.00) and payable within 28 days to Strathclyde Police. Payments should be made to the Fixed Penalty Clerk and sent to:
55 John Street
PO Box 56
Glasgow
G1 1LR
It is now also possible to
pay your parking fine online, using a service provided by Glasgow City Council.
If, however, the parking ticket remains unpaid after 28 days Strathclyde Police will send a Fine Registration to Dumbarton Sheriff & Justice of the Peace Court. The fine will then rise from £30.00 to £45.00 (unless issued under Section 33 of the Vehicle Excise & Registration Act 1994 these will raise from £60.00 to £90.00) and you will receive a further 28 days to pay the Fine Registration. In this case payments should be made to Dumbarton Sheriff & Justice of the Peace Court, Sheriff Court House, Church Street, Dumbarton G82 1QR.
