Welcome to the West Dunbartonshire Registration Service. We hope our website will give you useful information about the many services we provide. In addition to the provision of services such as the registration of births, deaths, marriages and civil partnerships, we also offer civil marriage, civil partnership, citizenship ceremonies, renewal of vows and baby naming ceremonies.

Tell Us Once

The West Dunbartonshire Council Registration Service, in partnership with the Department of Work and Pensions, now offers a new service known as 'Tell Us Once'.

The new service enables members of the public to report a death or birth just once and then information is shared with a number of central and local government organisations so they do not have to contact each of them individually. 

The service has been designed around customers and pilots of the service have proved that it makes it easier, quicker and cheaper for both the public and government to register a change of circumstance. This leads to an improved level of service which saves time, money and unnecessary stress.
