Performance of the Registration Service

 

This article provides a summary of the performance of the Registration Service in West Dunbartonshire.

Our performance is measured in two ways:(1) by reference to national enhanced performance indicators produced by the General Register Office for Scotland (GROS); and (2) by information gathered from local customer service surveys.

The enhanced performance indicators referred to in this article relate to statistics gathered in 2007. The customer survey was undertaken during Spring 2008 and a full analysis was presented to the Corporate and Efficient Governance Committee in August 2008.

Enhanced Performance Indicators 2007

Percentage of records error free:-

West Dunbartonshire: 97% (Scottish Average: 97%)

Events per member of staff:-

West Dunbartonshire: 254 (Scottish Average: 243)

Hours per event:-

West Dunbartonshire 1.46 (Scottish Average 1.94)

Customer Survey 

The recent customer survey carried out by the Registration Service in West Dunbartonshire has produced a very positive response from members of the public. In terms of the overall level of service provided: 95% of respondents indicated that they thought that the service provided was excellent.  In terms of courtesy, helpfulness, fairness and sensitivity, on average 99% of our customers indicated that the service provided was either excellent or very good.   In terms of waiting times, only 2% of our customers had to wait more than 5 minutes to be served.
