Prepares plans and develops emergency response procedures in conjunction with other Council Services, the Emergency Services, Utilities, Health Boards, Central Government Departments and Voluntary Agencies as well as liaising with the Scottish Executive, neighbouring councils and any other group that could help in an emergency.
Also responsible for ensuring that council employees are involved in regular training and exercising of their roles and responsibilities during emergency response and recovery.
