Duntocher Hall

Duntocher Hall is located in the residential area of Duntocher, a village close to the town of Clydebank. The hall is approximately 100 metres from the bus terminus in Duntocher. There is no train station close to the hall, which makes travelling to the hall more difficult for users outside the Duntocher area. There are no dedicated car parking facilities for the hall, visitors tending to use the road space next to the hall for car parking.

The building consists of a main hall with a permanent stage at one end, two kitchens, one of which is often used as a bar with a serving hatch which leads in to the hall. There are both male and female toilets and a separate toilet, which is equipped for use by disabled customers. Wheelchair access to the hall is via an emergency exit as the main entrance has two steps leading up to the front door.

The main hall has a maximum capacity of 170 people for meetings and 130 people for dances and other similar functions. Duntocher hall has enough tables and chairs to accommodate the maximum capacity of the hall. Equipment in the two kitchens includes fridges, ovens, hobs and a microwave.

The most frequent users of the hall consist of Duntocher Out of school Care, booking the hall Monday to Friday during school term. Other users include a scout troop, a children’s drama group and a dance class, all of which take place in the evenings. Occasional weekend bookings consist of dances, discos and fundraisers again all taking place in the evening.
