Howatshaws Hall

Howatshaws Hall is located in Bellsmyre, a residential estate in Dumbarton. The hall is built next to three residential tower blocks and shares a large car park with one of the blocks. The nearest bus stop to the hall is around 100 meters walking distance.

 

Howatshaws hall is all at ground level and the hall has disabled access. The hall has a maximum capacity of 90 people. Similar to West Bridgend hall, Howatshaws also has male and female toilets that are wheelchair accessible. The hall also has a fully equipped kitchen. Howatshaws Hall has a p.a. system, a bouncy castle, a piano, a pool table and enough tables and chairs to accommodate its maximum capacity. The kitchen is equipped with a fridge, oven, hobs, urn and an ample amount of crockery.

Regular weekly bookings of the hall include a youth club, a bingo group and a senior citizens group, all of which take place mid week. The hall is also used for birthday parties at the weekend. The majority of users are female senior citizens who almost exclusively constitute the bingo and senior citizens club membership. A Christmas dinner and children’s disco is also held annually.
