Customer Satisfaction Survey
West Dunbartonshire Leisure Services has just piloted a new standard for measuring the level of customer satisfaction of our service users. The Customer Satisfaction Measurement Tool (CSMT) is a pioneering new national standard aimed at improving the way Scottish Councils and their partners evaluate performance and efficiency of the services they deliver.
During November 2010 a total of 360 senior citizens across the three centres, the Play Drome, Vale of Leven Swimming Pool and Meadow Centre, (200 female and 160 male) completed the face to face questionnaire during the survey period. This equates to 7.3% of the Senior Citizens who currently hold passport to leisure cards.

The main findings include the very high level of satisfaction received from users for professionalism and staff attitude. The Play Drome recorded a 100% score, the Vale of Leven Swimming Pool 98% and the Meadow Centre 92%.
Overall satisfaction levels recorded were as follows:

Leisure Services now has robust data to use for developing the service further for this client group and can address the issues raised by customers via the survey process. The information will assist the Leisure Services management team in developing new policies, programmes and procedures.
This data can be used to benchmark effectively against others in the future to compare satisfaction levels and drive service delivery. The Customer Satisfaction Question Tool has effectively gave Leisure Services better customer insight and resulted in robust data being collected to analyse performance and efficiency
