Club, Coach & Volunteer Development

West Dunbartonshire Leisure Trust is responsible for three main indoor leisure centres, managing sports development, the Active Schools project, community facilities, outdoor recreation and a range of events.

The Club, Coach and Volunteer Development programme enhances and expands the network of quality sports clubs and coaches providing sport and physical activity opportunities for young people and adults. It increases community capacity, sports participation and the development of potential throughout the local authority.

Coach Education and Training

Main Aim: Develop and increase the number of active and quality coaches and volunteers in West Dunbartonshire.

UKCC Funding from sportscotland

sportscotland are rolling out a new UKCC funding model to support the recruitment of new coaches in Scotland. Applicants who meet the eligibility criteria, can access funding of up to 50% or £150/person of the course fee, whichever is lower.
