In Dumbarton Library on Wednesday evening, Amanda Verlaque, Producer and James McCreadie, Writer. of BBC Scotland's flagship series '
River City' presented the West Dunbartonshire '
Booked!' festival with a fascinating insight into how the scripts and indeed, the episodes, of the series are put together. The audience were intrigued to learn the intricacies and detail employed in the writing and were treated to a video of some of the classic storylines of the Scottish soap.
The last half hour was thrown open to the audience who bombarded the guest writers with questions and received in return, full and interesting answers. In the final five minutes names were drawn for the fifteen places for the set tour the following Wednesday and the excited winners cheered at the results.
Tea and coffee followed where the conversation flowed until everyone finally had to leave!
A fun and fascinating evening was had by all!
