Rubbish and Recycling

Helping with your waste and recycling

Want to find your nearest recyling centre, how to book a special uplift or what waste goes in each bin? That and much more is on these pages.

The Fleet and Waste Services department manage the collection and recycling of waste from 45,000 households per week plus a large number of businesses. The Waste Aware Team promotes Reducing, Reusing and Recycling through raising awareness, public events and education. You can contact the Waste Aware Team on 0845 111 0050 or email wasteaware@west-dunbarton.gov.uk

Scotland's Zero Waste Plan sets out the Scottish Government's vision for a zero waste society where waste is kept to a minimum and is seen as a valuable resource. West Dunbartonshire Council aims to prevent waste from being created and we encourage the reuse and recycle of goods and materials as much as possible.
