Pre-5 Education

The Road Safety Team is committed to providing support and information to all Early Education & Childcare Centres and partnership nurseries within West Dunbartonshire.

We have an established system of Pre-five loan boxes. These include books, jigsaws, playmats and flipcharts. Also included is Streetfeet, an interactive play road layout with road user tabards, crossings and destination mats. There are also play road signs and traffic lights that Early Education & Childcare Centres and nurseries can have on loan.

Early Education & Childcare Centres and nurseries all receive an order form from the Road Safety Team, allowing them to book their preferred month for the loanboxes. For further information, please telephone the Road Safety Team on 01389 737630 or email roadsafety@west-dunbarton.gov.uk.

The loanboxes can also be used to support the Children's Traffic Club Nursery Pack which all Early Education & Childcare Centres and nurseries received during 2003. For further information visit the The Children's Traffic Club website.
