Asymptomatic test sites

The Asymptomatic test sites at Clydebank and Dumbarton will be closed until Wednesday 5 January 2022.  For further information on testing please visit https://www.nhsinform.scot/ or call 0300 303 2713.

People who have the virus may not show symptoms, or they can be so mild or unusual that they are not recognised as COVID-19.

This means that without knowing it they could be spreading the virus to their loved ones, work colleagues and the wider community.

To help stop the spread, and for your own peace of mind, West Dunbartonshire residents will be welcome to take a test at these test centres:

Dual Testing - PCR & Asymptomatic test centre:

  • Clydebank East Community Centre, Fleming Avenue, Clydebank

Asymptomatic test centre:

  • Leven Valley Enterprise Centre, Castlehill Road, Dumbarton, G82 5BN.

Both test sites work on a drop-in basis, with no appointment necessary, and will be open Monday to Friday from 11am to 5.30pm.

The Clydebank East Community Centre test site is for people with or without symptoms.

Leven Valley Enterprise Centre is for members of the public who are NOT experiencing symptoms of COVID-19.

Further information is available on the NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde website.

If you feel you may have symptoms (such as loss of taste and smell, a high temperature or new and continuous cough) you can get tested by dropping in to Clydebank East Community Test Site or you can arrange a test by visiting nhsinform.scot or by calling 0300 303 2713.

We would encourage everyone living or working in the Clydebank and Dumbarton area to go along and have a rapid test. You will get an LFD result in 30 minutes or less. PCR results take longer and will be sent to you, normally the next day.

The centres will also advise of support available if you have a positive test so that you can isolate and not spread the infection.

For more information about COVID-19 testing, including for those people who may be experiencing symptoms, please visit www.nhsinform.scot.
