Scammers have been exploiting the Covid-19 situation and a number of new scams are being reported across the country – don’t be their next victim.

Scams have included offers of financial support with Government branding, fake online stores for in-demand products which never arrive and offers of medical support to vulnerable residents.

Make sure you don’t get tricked:

  • Do not part with any money or personal information during a cold call – either telephone or on your doorstep
  • Take your time – only criminals will make you decide on their services quickly
  • Ask a trusted friend or family member if you are unsure
  • Do you research and stay informed on the types of scams operating in your area
