The search is on to find the best businesses across West Dunbartonshire.

The annual Working4Business awards celebrates the innovation and success brought to the area by local businesses.

This year’s event – taking place at Clydebank Town Hall on Friday 22 May - will select winners from 10 different categories including Most Promising New Business, Best Family Business, Developing the Young Workforce and Innovation in Business.

Organisations can also be named as Best Small, Medium or Large business or Best Food and Drink Provider.

One business will walk away as Employer of the Year, while another will be Young Business Person of the Year at the event too.

Applications for the awards, which are sponsored by Vital Energi, are now open.

If you run an impressive business in West Dunbartonshire or know somebody who deserves some recognition for their hard work, get involved.

Councillor Iain McLaren, Convener of Infrastructure, Regeneration and Economic Development for the Council, said: “I look forward to the Working4 Business Awards each year as it is always such an inspiring event, when I have the opportunity to hear about the fantastic work going on throughout West Dunbartonshire.

“I am always so impressed by the creative thinking and innovation and I know from chatting to the people who have attended in previous years that they leave the event with refreshed energy and determination to achieve success in their own business.”

Councillor Marie McNair, Vice Convener of Infrastructure, Regeneration and Economic Development, added: “I’m pleased to see new categories that have been introduced for this years event as it gives even further opportunity for recognition.

“I’d encourage all business owners to enter the awards and use the platform to show the whole community what you can do.”
