The Council recently carried out a comprehensive survey as part of the requirements of the Scottish Social Housing Charter to measure tenant satisfaction.  Over 500 tenants were telephoned by an independent research company and asked about their satisfaction on a range of issues.

Feedback shows that some significant improvements have been made, for example in the area tenant participation and communication,

  • 86% of tenants saying that they feel the Council is good at keeping them informed about services and decisions - up 2% from 2017 and 5% above the Scottish average, and
  • 84% of tenants satisfied with the opportunities to participate in decision making processes – up 5% since 2007 and 7% above the Scottish average

Written communications are still the most popular with tenants and 92% said that they use the Housing News to keep informed.
