Public Consultation on Draft ASTSAP

West Dunbartonshire Council is looking for your responses to a questionnaire which will inform the approach of our draft Active & Sustainable Travel Strategy and Action Plan (ASTSAP), which is currently in development.

This consultation is an invitation to help shape a transport future for West Dunbartonshire that is better for everyone. A new approach is needed, and the Council has a key role in enabling and supporting local residents, businesses and organisations to secure better value, fairer and greener transport.

The Active & Sustainable Travel Strategy and Action Plan is a priority action of recently launched Climate Change Action plan (CCAP),  which will detail how the Council will take action to encourage active travel through walking, wheeling, cycling and public transport, and to deploy sustainable alternatives to decarbonise transport for both the public and for the Council.  We want to support the development of new approaches to active and sustainable transport where: people can access goods and services more easily and more locally, active travel is more popular and zero emission vehicles become the norm.

This will help in developing our approach on transport emissions, and in West Dunbartonshire becoming net zero by 2045 at the latest.

Please provide your responses before 12 noon on Wednesday 2 March 2022.

If you are cannot respond to the online questionnaire then please email to request a hard copy to be sent out to you.  Alternatively, you can respond directly to the consultation by:
