Scottish Government announced at the end of last year that the Council is to receive a share of £800m national funding to build a new education campus in Faifley.
The new campus will replace the buildings used by Auchnacraig Early Learning and Childcare Centre, Edinbarnet and St Joseph’s Primary schools and will move more than 500 pupils and young people into world class education facilities. The campus will also include a library and community facilities. We’ve considered three different sites for this new campus. Early Feasibility studies of each of the three sites have been carried out; high level design proposals on the potential sites are available for viewing via the Faifley Campus Engagement slides.
We would like to invite parent council members, parents/carers, and community groups from the Faifley area to attend an engagement session, to be hosted via zoom on Tuesday 2 February and Tuesday 9 February, to share more information on the project.
We plan to run two one hour sessions, places on each session will be limited to allow for discussion, however we will arrange more sessions if there is a demand for them to ensure everyone with an interest in this project is able to hear more of the detail.
If you are interested in attending an online session please note your interest by sending your name and email address and the preferred session:
to firstname.lastname@example.org. We will then issue you with the Zoom joining details and password.
We have also prepared some Frequently Asked Questions about the project. We hope this covers key areas however, if you have any additional questions, not covered by the FAQ’s, please email them to us in advance, at the email address above, to ensure we are able to provide an answer at the session.
Equally, if you are unable to attend the session but would like to ask a question not already covered in the FAQ please submit your query to the email address above and this will be included in updated FAQ’s.
