Our Tenant Priority Budget (£800,000) gives WDC tenants an opportunity to influence how it is spent and we want to continue to improve the process. We want to make it clearer about the tenant influence over how the Budget is spent and how decisions are made.
A new proposal form has been created and any individual tenant, group of tenants or a Tenants & Residents Association can submit an idea. Any idea will be acknowledged and if meets the criteria, will be costed up and then agreed at a further public meeting (27/6/18).
There is an open invite to a public meeting on Wed 23 May 2018 at 6pm in committee room 2 at the Council offices at Garshake, Dumbarton to discuss the process and get an update on how last year’s Budget was spent.
We have also created a briefing note that was initially prepared for the West Dunbartonshire Tenants & Residents Organisation (WDTRO) that gives a bit more detail on the process.

It is hoped that as many tenants as possible get involved and a further meeting on Wednesday 27 June, 6PM will then discuss the costed, eligible proposals and decide what can get done.
