Many Council services will be operating an emergency or out of hours service for the public holiday on Monday 26 September 2022.

On Monday 26 September 2022 Recycling Centres will be operating as normal with no disruption.
All communal recycling points remain open for recycling glass bottles and other recyclable material.

Special upflits will not be available on Monday 26 September 2022 but will resume as normal on Tuesday 27 Septmeber 2022.

Monday 26 September 2022
Libraries will re-open on Tuesday 27 September 2022, when normal opening hours will resume. Please visit the opening hours for the different Library branches.
There will be no ‘Book to Borrow’ pick-up or delivery service available on dates of closure. You can still place book orders using our online form. Further information is available on the Libraries pages.

Should you have an emergency registration enquiry, you can speak to a Registrar on Saturday 24 and Sunday 25 September 2022 between 12noon - 2pm on 07900 052299.
From Monday 26 September 2022 our out of hours service will be available from 8am until 8am the following morning.

If you are roofless and require temporary accommodation we will discuss a health questionnaire which will enable us to operate safe systems of working if we require any face to face contact.

On Monday 26 September 2022, emergency roads and street lighting faults can be reported by calling RALF on Freephone 0800 373635.
Customers can report non emergency faults via the website or by calling 01389 737542 within working hours.
It would be helpful when reporting a lighting fault to supply the street light column number, the House number/name it is outside or near, the street name and the problem with the light.
Social Work Services will continue to be delivered as normal on Monday 26 September 2022.
The Social Work Standby Service will be available by phone on 0300 343 1505 during weekends and public holidays.
Home Care Services will be operating on an everyday basis.

Crisis Support will be unavailable on Monday 26 September 2022. Any referrals made to this service will be dealt with on their return on Tuesday 27 September.
