Planning Committee on the 19 August 2020 agreed to adopt the Proposed Local Development Plan 2 (as modified by recommended modifications of the Report of Examination). The Plan was subsequently submitted to the Scottish Ministers for approval to adopt. On 18 December 2020, the Scottish Ministers issued a Direction requiring the Council to amend the Plan before it could be adopted. The Council is continuing to consider the Direction, and the Plan remains unadopted. The Proposed Plan, the Examination Report and the Direction are material considerations in deciding planning applications.
The Plan sets out the Council’s strategy, policies and proposals for the use of land and buildings within the Council area (with the exception of that part of the authority within the Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park) for the period from 2020 to 2030. The Plan’s aim is to create places for people, spaces for investment and destinations to visit and enjoy.
