West Dunbartonshire Council is working in partnership with the Cycling World Championships team and Event Partners to support and deliver events and activities across our region, celebrating the event and welcoming spectators, while keeping the area moving and open for business.

We will house all key information needed to help you prepare for event time and find out how you can enjoy, support and prepare for the championships experience. Find out about how your area might be impacted by events, transport and travel options while the championships is taking place and advice on how to get your business or community ready for the many visitors we are expecting.

Planning Ahead

In the lead up to and during the Championships, it’s important to be prepared and plan ahead, wherever possible. To keep the area moving and open for business, you are advised to plan for your journeys in advance.

We will let you know which days, times and areas will be impacted and on those days you may wish to think about how you are going to travel, estimated journey times and the most appropriate mode of transport for your journey.

Businesses

The local area will be open for business during the Championships, but on some days due to competition and other activities, it may not be business as usual.
We aim to provide businesses of all sizes with the information they need to be ready the championships and aware of potential opportunities to get involved and show support.

As the relevant information becomes available these pages will be updated.

Local Services

As a regional host for the Championships, we anticipate local services to change for a period, in certain areas, on certain days, in the lead up to and during the championships.

When changes to services have been confirmed, the Council will contact businesses and residents directly to inform what these may be and advise on what action you should take to make sure you continue to receive the service. This page will also be updated with the latest information.
