Place the soaked chickpeas in a saucepan and cover with water. Add the turmeric and bring to the boil and gently simmer for 30 minutes. Stir occasionally.
Cut in to chunks and boil New Potato’s and to other ingredients.
In a pan, heat the oil and add the chopped onion, chilli and garlic and cook for two minutes.
Add to the chick peas and add salt before serving.
