What to expect from a Trading Standards Officer
To help protect you from bogus callers, please remember that a genuine Trading Standards Officer will not:
- visit you without showing official ID;
- put pressure on you to make a decision;
- or ask them to leave;
- object to visiting at another time when you have a friend or relative present;
- ask you for money or bank details.
