Residents across West Dunbartonshire are invited to a jobs fair to provide opportunities to residents looking for work or a career change.

The Council’s Working4U team has organised the event, taking place on Tuesday, April 23rd at the Concord Community Centre in Dumbarton between 10am and midday.

It will give residents who are looking for job opportunities a chance to meet with representatives from almost 30 companies who currently have vacancies. Staff from Working4U will also be on hand to assist people in preparing for the job market by helping to develop their CV and identifying training opportunities.

Councillor Gurpreet Singh Johal, Convener of Housing and Communities, said: “I would encourage anyone who is interested in hearing about local vacancies to attend the jobs fair.

“Thank you to the hard working staff at Working4U who have organised this event which I am sure will be useful for those seeking job opportunities.”

Councillor Hazel Sorrell, Vice Convener of Housing and Communities, said: “As a Council, we are keen to support people across our community who want to get into the job market. This is a great opportunity to speak to employers directly about the roles they are currently recruiting for.”

The event is funded by No-one Left Behind Scottish Government funding.
