A new multi use games area (MUGA) and upgraded playpark have added even more vibrancy to a community in Bonhill.

The facilities at Pappert have recently been completed, shortly after tenants moved into newly developed Council homes nearby.

The overhaul of the playpark is one of eight upgrades at playing facilities for children across the authority area.

And there are three more MUGAs, in addition to the pitch at Pappert, being developed throughout West Dunbartonshire.

Convener of Infrastructure, Regeneration and Economic Development, Councillor David McBride, said: “The Council is investing in activities for our young people and improving the recreational facilities which are available.

“These two facilities within Pappert will be greatly welcomed by the residents in the area, including new tenants at the nearby housing development.

“The area is enjoying a welcome boost from these additions.”

Vice Convener of Infrastructure, Regeneration and Economic Development, Councillor Lawrence O’Neill, said: “It is great timing that these facilities have opened up just as tenants have been settling into their new homes and young people have been enjoying them during the school holidays.

“I hope the families who stay nearby make the most of these excellent additions to the area.”
