Many Council services will be operating an emergency or out of hours service for the Easter public holidays.

Rubbish and Recycling
Bin collection
No changes to bin collections over the Easter public holidays.
Recycling Centres
Dalmoak and Ferry Road Household Waste Recycling Centres will be open over the Easter public holidays.
Special Uplifts
Currently no disruptions to service over the Easter public holidays.
Leisure Centres and Community Halls & Pitch Bookings

Registration Services will be closed on:

Should you have an emergency registration enquiry, you can speak to a Registrar on Monday 6 April between 10am - 11am on 07900 052299.
The office reopens on Tuesday 7 April 2026 at 9.00am.
Homelessness and Housing Options
Our out of hours service will be available from 8am until 8am on the following days.

Should you find yourself homeless or threatened with homelessness during this time then please contact us on the Council’s out of hours emergency number Freephone 0800 197 1004.
If your enquiry is not urgent and you have somewhere safe to stay then you can email us at HousingOptionsHomelessness@west-dunbarton.gov.uk, or telephone the homelessness duty service team on 01389 776400 during office hours. Monday to Friday 9am to 4:30pm with the exception of public holidays.
Housing Maintenance and Repairs
An emergency repairs service is available on:

Scottish Welfare Fund
The Welfare Fund will be closed on:

Roads and lighting
Emergency roads and street lighting faults can be reported by calling RALF on Freephone 0800 373635 on the following days.

Customers can report non emergency faults via the website or by calling 01389 737542 within working hours.
It would be helpful when reporting a lighting fault to supply the street light column number, the House number/name it is outside or near, the street name and the problem with the light.
Social Work
Social Work Services will continue to be delivered as normal over the Easter Public Holidays.
The Social Work Standby Service will be available by phone on 0300 343 1505 during weekends and public holidays.
Home Care Services will be operating on an everyday basis.

Working4U Service
The Working4U Service will be unavailable on:

- Monday 6 April 2026
